Our Internal Medicine Services are directed by Tiffany Hall, DVM, Diplomate ACVIM, Diplomate ACVECC.
Dr. Tiffany Hall is the specialist in charge of the internal medicine services offered by Equine Medical Center of Ocala. Dr. Hall is double boarded by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Diplomate ACVIM) and the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (Diplomate ACVECC). The internal medicine department is supported by senior equine nurse Amy Stuverude.
Internal medicine is a specialty field of veterinary medicine that addresses problems of cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, ophthalmology, dermatology, gastrointestinal, oncology (cancer), muscular and neonatal nature and critical care of neonates.
Through advanced training and the provision of specialized equipment, we are able to offer our patients the finest internal medicine care obtainable in Marion County.

Gastric Ulcer Disease & Chronic Colic
Our team can evaluate many intestinal conditions including Gastric Ulcer Disease and chronic colic by utilizing advanced technology and procedures like Intestinal Absorption Studies and Intestinal Biopsies.
Gastroscopies and Abdominal Ultrasounds
With video endoscopy and digital radiography, we are able to investigate equine respiratory diseases, conditions and limitations. The Internal Medicine Department works closely with our board certified surgeons on all respiratory surgical cases to ensure the most effective care for EMCO patients. Several diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are available to help correct respiratory problems.
Neurologic Evaluations can include everything from an active exam, cervical radiographs, blood testing or a Myelogram, which is conducted under general anesthesia.
