Thank you EMCO!
Many thanks to Dr. Corey Miller and his wonderful staff. Our mare had complications during foaling with a retained placenta. Dr. Miller and his staff took such great care of mother and foal. Both are back home and doing great! Thank you to everyone at EMCO! The staff named the filly Pepa....we love it!
Absolute amazing place. Very caring of animals, and they all love their job. Definitely recommend.
Many thanks to Dr Sam Johnson and Dr Ashley Camron for the immediate and wonderful care that my horse Brody received when he was admitted with a very serious colic. It was my worst nightmare and I am so glad we have a happy ending! Dr Sam was so wonderful about communicating with me and even sending photos of Brody when I could not be there with him! I am so grateful! I cannot say enough good things about The Equine Medical Center of Ocala!
I took my horse here last Wednesday to have a lameness exam. Turned out my boy needed to be tested for Pituitary Pars Intermedia Dysfunction. My heart was completely broken but the staff at Equine Medical Center of Ocala thoroughly took care of him from the minute we got there to the minute we left. Doctor Hall was very personable and made us feel comfortable during this stressful day as well as Dr. Adams. Thank you!
Big shout out to EMCO!
Big shout out to Equine Medical Center of Ocala for exemplary care for my mare and patience with me! Dr. Aric Adams and Dr Sam Johnson did a phenomenal job and treated her like a Queen ( I am still working that out now LOL)...she went to the Ritz Carlton and had to come back to the Motel 6...every part of this ordeal was handled with professionalism, compassion and aboveboard communication... neither one of us were ever given the impression that we were just backyard horse and owner... Mea is much more than that to me! Again I thank all the staff for her outstanding care and the people behind the scenes that I never saw.

"I ask 100% of my ponies and myself when we compete. It is comforting to know that I can expect the same from the crew at EMCO. I know my ponies' care is in the best hands."

Owners of "Cowboy"
"I want to thank Dr. David and his staff for their help with my horse Cowboy. They all made what I thought was going to be a very stressful experience, a very interesting one, and under the circumstances, it was actually an enjoyable one! I also loved the facility and will be back if God forbid I have any more issues with any of my horses."
"Happy Trails! From Cowboy, Maggie, and Emilee Cope"

Proud Owners of "Midnight Maggie"
"We first met Dr. Adams' team at the Equine Medical Center of Ocala on October 10, 2011, for a lameness exam for our Holsteiner/Thoroughbred mare, Midnight Maggie. They spent an entire day helping us diagnose what was causing her lameness and explained everything every step of the way. Maggie was diagnosed with a pulled right front suspensory and a torn right hind suspensory. We were given an explanation of all the treatment options and decided to go with stall rest and hand-walking.
After 60 days, we went for a follow-up, only to find no change in Maggie's right hind ultrasound. Dr. Adams and his team gave us a wealth of knowledge to help us choose the best continued treatment plan. After discussion with the team, we decided it was in the best interest of Maggie to let her be a horse and start to gradually introduce turnout. All was going well until we needed Dr. Adams' team again for a different reason.
In April, 2012, Maggie colicked. We did not hesitate when our local vet made the call and recommended that we take her to Ocala for further treatment. We called the staff at EMCO and they worked diligently to determine what was causing the colic. After about 6 hours, we made the decision to move forward with surgery. Again, the information that was presented to us throughout the decision making process made it that much easier to make a tough decision. Had we waited any longer than we did, or decided to chance it against the hospital's recommendations, Maggie would have died. The surgery was a success and throughout her recovery the team at EMCO was readily available to answer questions.
Now, a year after we first set "hoof" on the property at EMCO, Maggie is walking, trotting, and cantering soundly under saddle and just went on her first field trip to a hunter pace to get a little change of scenery. We would not be here without the help of the staff at the EMCO. Maggie and our family thank you from the bottoms of our hearts for never giving up on us, and for providing Maggie with the best quality of care that any horse owner can hope for."
Owner of "Dallas"
“Dallas is a 16 year old QH jumper that I have had for 8 years now. We do the 3ft jumpers, and even competed at Pre HITS in 2012. He came up lame on his right hind in the beginning of March suddenly, and after a week of being barely off behind I decided to take him to EMCO to see Dr. Adams. After doing X-Rays and blocking the leg the only thing showing as a cause was the stifle. I came back 2 weeks later to get his stifles injected (he was still slightly off) and 3 days later he was sound. Now 2 weeks later he is using his hind end and fully tracking up. I am so grateful for Dr. Adams and Laura and all of the other staff and EMCO that helped with Dallas.”

Executive Director, Florida Horse Park
“Once again you and Equine Medical Center of Ocala did a superb job in support of the Florida Agriculture Center and Horse Park Authority’s Sunshine State Combined Driving Event, February 2-5, 2012. There were numerous laudatory comments about Dr. Amanda Ramseyer in the manner in which she provided veterinary support to the one hundred and twenty-two horses entered in the competition. It was her professionalism that was instrumental in ensuring we had an outstanding event.
Please pass on our thanks to Dr. Ramseyer and your entire staff of Equine Medical Center of Ocala for providing the on-call and on-site veterinary support for this event.”

Owners of "Berry Kool"
“To all the Drs., nurses, office staff and any other staff members who helped with Berry Kool.
We would like to take this time to thank you all so very, very much for saving our Berry Kool. You don’t know how much we appreciated everything you did. There aren’t enough words to express our gratitude. Berry is part of our family and the love and care he received from you made us feel at ease while we were away during such a difficult time. The communication between all of you and our family and veterinarian was wonderful! We have done nothing but rave about your hospital.
Berry is doing well, glad to be home and king of the barn again. It is amazing what you do there and how much we have learned from all of this. Thank you again for everything! We just can’t thank you enough. You all were wonderful with Berry and loved on him for us since we couldn’t be there. You all will have a special place in our hearts forever! Keep doing what you’re doing!”
